Hey everyone! I'm considering upgrading my gaming rig due to potential price increases next year and I'm wondering if it's a good move. My current setup includes a Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, Palit RTX 2070 Super GPU, Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS motherboard, 32 GB of Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 RAM at 3200MHz, and a SeaSonic Focus GX 650W power supply. I mostly game at 1440p. Would adding an RTX 5070 Ti be a smart upgrade? Is my PSU sufficient for this upgrade, and can I use an adapter for the power connections since I have 2 PCI-E 8-pin cables?

What's your budget? That could help narrow down the best options for your setup.
I doubt your current PSU will have enough cables for a 5070 Ti since they typically require 3x 8-pins. You might want to look into getting a new PSU that can handle the upgrade comfortably.
Honestly, I think you’ll be fine with an RTX 5070 Ti at 1440p without noticeable bottlenecks. However, I would definitely recommend upgrading your PSU. It's better to be safe and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Your PSU should be fine, but keep in mind that your Ryzen 7 3700X might bottle some performance in certain scenarios. If you’re looking for a temporary upgrade, the RTX 5070 Ti is a solid choice, but consider upgrading to an AM5 setup later when RAM prices drop since that would give you better performance overall.
It really depends on the games you play. With your current CPU and 1440p, you might get better results from an RTX 4060 XT or 5060 Ti. My setup with a 5800X3D has had stutters in games like Forza Horizon 5 at ultra settings, so just be aware of that.
