I'm buying a new PSU and case for my upcoming 5070 Ti graphics card, but I've hit a snag with the RAM prices for DDR5. About a month ago, I thought I had my budget sorted out, but now the costs have shot up significantly. I'm considering an upgrade that would cost me around €700, which includes moving to an AMD 7600 X3D CPU and a single 16GB stick of Kingston 5200 DDR5 RAM. The concern is whether the performance boost from this investment would be noticeable in gaming or if I should hold off and maybe invest in a new monitor instead. I'd suggest trying out your new GPU with your existing setup first. You might find it performs well enough for your needs without jumping into DDR5 just yet. Plus, since you're primarily GPU-bound at higher resolutions like 1440p or 4K, your current i5 might still hold up reasonably well in most games. Waiting might save you money and help you avoid early regrets about your choices!
