Are High Temps Normal for a 3080 Ti?

I recently got a 3080 Ti and I'm curious about its temperature performance. I've heard that these cards tend to run hot, and I want to know if it's typical for mine to reach around 80 degrees Celsius while playing games on max graphics at 1440p. When idle, it sits at about 55 degrees. I also ran the Superposition benchmark at 4K, where my GPU core averaged 76 degrees and maxed out at 83, while the VRAM averaged 91 and peaked at 100 degrees. Are these temps normal, and do they affect the card's longevity?

Yeah, that's normal! The 3080 Ti can really push the heat, especially during intensive gaming. If you haven't opened it up yet, consider replacing the thermal paste someday for better performance. It can help keep those temps down a bit.

Those temps are totally normal for a 3080 Ti under load. While it might feel a bit high, running around 70-80°C is typical for these cards. The TJ max for the 3080 Ti is actually 93°C, so you've got a bit of headroom before hitting danger levels. Just make sure your case has good airflow!

Definitely normal! Just keep an eye on your VRAM because if it runs too hot too often, you might need to watch out for potential failures. But replacements are generally not too costly, so it's usually manageable. Just ensure you have some airflow and maybe think about undervolting if you're worried.

Thanks! I'm considering undervolting. I heard it helps a lot on card temps.
