I'm feeling really frustrated because we have no visibility on our tasks, and it seems like our managers are always in the dark about what's going on. We've tried using Jira and Kanban boards, but it feels like updates still get lost in the shuffle. Does anyone use a reliable task management system that shows progress and blockers in real time? What strategies do you use to keep your development team on track?

What worked wonders for us was making task statuses unavoidable and centralized in one spot. We moved beyond just relying on comments or meetings. Instead, we integrated progress and blockers directly into the tasks themselves. We've been using Teamhood, and the big change is that updates and dependency issues are visible immediately on the board. It saves everyone a lot of chasing after people for updates! We also made Jira updates essential rather than optional. If something's stuck, it gets marked right away, and once that expectation is clear, visibility improves quickly.
