I have a ROG Zephyrus G16 that's about a year and a half old, and I've started experiencing a frustrating issue with my headphones disconnecting randomly. This started happening last week after I cleaned my laptop's vents with compressed air. Now, whenever I move the headphone cord or adjust my laptop, the headphones disconnect intermittently. I've made sure all my audio drivers are up to date, and I also cleaned out the headphone port with a toothpick and a bit of compressed air, which seemed to help slightly, but the problem remains. I've tested my $200 Sony MDR-M1 headphones on other devices like my Meta Quest 3 and my mom's laptop, and they work perfectly. Is there anything else I can try before resorting to Geek Squad?

You might want to check the headphone jack itself for any debris or damage. If cleaning it out didn’t help much, it could be the port that’s having issues rather than the headphones. Also, try using a different cable if your headphones allow it; sometimes, the connectors can get faulty even without visible damage. Good luck!

I've checked the cable going into the port and it's in good shape. No fraying or weird bends. I even tried another pair of headphones but had the same issue.
