I just did a clean install of Windows, and for a while, everything was working smoothly. However, after an hour, I noticed that my PC switched to WiFi on its own, and when I tried to revert back to Ethernet, I found that my Ethernet port isn't being detected at all; it doesn't even show up in the control panel. I've tried updating the drivers and the BIOS, plus reinstalling Windows again, but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help me with this issue?

First, check if your Ethernet adapter is enabled in the BIOS settings. Sometimes, the settings can get reset during installations. If it’s enabled but still not detected, let us know your motherboard model; it might help in troubleshooting further.
I had a similar problem with my Aorus board. The Ethernet connection would drop frequently, so I uninstalled the device drivers and then reinstalled them, but it still wouldn't recognize the Ethernet port. Eventually, I bought a PCIe x1 gigabit Ethernet card as a backup. If your motherboard is still under warranty, sending it in might be an option, but I found it quicker to just upgrade.
