Hey everyone! I'm upgrading to a Corsair HX1500i PSU, and I'm a bit confused about the CPU power connections. My old PSU had both an 8-pin and a 4-pin connector for the CPU power, but the new HX only seems to have one 8-pin connector available. Is that enough on its own, or do I need to worry about missing the 4-pin connection? I'm new to building PCs—I got my rig pre-built a few months back and I'm upgrading to match my new Astral 5090. Just want to ensure I'm not going to run into any power issues or risk melting connectors. For reference, I'm using an ASUS Prime B850 Plus Wifi motherboard.

You're absolutely right! The HX1500i comes with three 8-pin connectors, which means you can plug the 8-pin into the 4-pin spot on your motherboard if you want more secure power. It's all good to double down on safety with those things!
The HX1500i actually has multiple EPS connectors that can split into 4+4 pin connectors. So if it makes you more comfortable, you can definitely plug in the 4-pin as well, but it's not strictly necessary for AM5 setups.
