I've recently been experiencing really slow download speeds on my PC, which I built just over a year ago. This is my first setup, and I made it with my brother following a guide. Lately, downloading games and updates has been painfully slow. For instance, it's taking around 10 minutes just to reach 20% on a download for the mobile game Pokemon TCG Pocket. I'm wondering what could be causing this issue and how I can check if my hardware is failing. Thanks for any help!

I ran a speed test and the results were pretty bad. I'm at 8.33 Mb/s for downloads and 7.33 Mb/s for uploads. Could my Ethernet cable be the issue? Should I think about replacing it?
First off, try running an internet speed test to see how your connection is doing. It might give you a clue about what's going wrong.
