Experiencing Micro-Stutters in Games on High-End PC

I recently upgraded to a high-end gaming setup with an NVIDIA RTX 4080 SUPER GPU, an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, and 64GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM, among other top-notch components. After a fresh Windows installation, I'm facing unexpected micro-stutters in my games—tiny frame hitches that last less than a millisecond, occurring randomly without any clear pattern. My temperatures and FPS seem fine, and benchmarks indicate normal performance. Both of my friends don't face these stutters, and they are using AM4 systems, while I'm on the AM5 platform with the X870E chipset. I'm starting to wonder if this could be related to my setup or something specific to Unreal Engine 5. I'd love to hear from anyone with similar hardware experiences or get troubleshooting tips. Also, this issue occurs in games like Battlefield 6 and Dead Island 2.

First off, have you checked all your drivers? Sometimes chipset drivers get overlooked, and those can be critical for performance. Also, monitor your disk usage and resource management to see if anything spikes. If your RAM isn't overclocked and is running at stock speeds, that should help narrow things down. In my case, I had similar stuttering issues that turned out to be related to old SSDs that just couldn’t keep up, and swapping those out fixed everything.

Definitely run the AMD Adrenaline software to make sure the latest chipset drivers are installed. And also, don't forget to disable any onboard graphics if you're not using them—that can sometimes cause conflicts. Even though you might not be optimistic about it, it’s worth a shot! If you need to uninstall your current drivers first, make sure to do that properly.
