Hey everyone! My friend usually upgrades his PC and sells me his old one since I trust him. He's offering me his latest build, and I'm not exactly sure about the pricing or if the parts are worth it. Here are the specs of the PC:
- GPU: RTX 2080ti (11GB VRAM)
- CPU: i9 10900k
- Case: NZXT H511 Mid-Tower Gaming Case with Tempered Glass Window (Matte White)
- RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4/3200MHz Dual Channel Memory (HyperX Fury)
- Motherboard: MSI Z490-A PRO (ATX, RGB, USB 3.2, 1 M.2 slot)
- Cooling: Corsair Hydro Series H100i RGB Pro XT Liquid Cooling System (240mm Radiator)
I'll be getting my own hard drives and power supply, and he's asking for between £400 and £500, but I can negotiate. Do you think this is a fair price for this setup? Also, do you think it will handle games like Black Ops 6 and the upcoming GTA 6 well? Thanks in advance for your help!

The RTX 2080ti usually goes for about $180 if you find a good deal, and the CPU around $220. The RAM is on the lower side at 16GB but still usable, probably worth about $50. Considering all parts, I’d say your friend’s asking price is quite reasonable! Especially for gaming. Just keep in mind you'll want to upgrade the RAM to 32GB soon, as that’s becoming a standard.
Honestly, that price seems a bit steep given that you're sourcing your own PSU and storage. I’d suggest negotiating lower. Since you're getting a really solid GPU and CPU there, it might be worth looking at around £350 instead. Just make sure you have a budget for your own components!
