I'm using Verizon's 5G Ultimate Home Internet and am experiencing really inconsistent speeds. My modem is connected to my console via Ethernet and I often see speeds as low as 3 Mbps, even though my plan promises between 85 and 300 Mbps. Sometimes it works great, but other times I can't even stream YouTube. Is this a setting I need to adjust, or could the issue be on Verizon's side?

5G connections can be a bit tricky since they're prone to interference and get shared among many users. Have you reached out to Verizon about your issues? Sometimes they can help troubleshoot, but be warned, their customer service can be a bit of a maze!
Keep in mind that with cellular internet, a high number of users can cause congestion, especially during peak times. If you're into gaming, 5G should really be a secondary option. If performance doesn’t improve, you might want to consider looking into a traditional internet service for more stable speeds.
How do your other devices handle the connection? If your phone is doing better, it might indicate a problem with the way your console is set up or how it's connecting to the internet. Could you try running a speed test on your phone?
My phone generally gets around 280 Mbps, but it has been slow these past couple of days too.
Have you tried relocating your 5G modem? Even a small move can make a big difference in signal strength. Check the internal settings on the modem to see the signal strength from Verizon. You might find a spot where it performs better with just a bit of repositioning!
I haven't tried moving it yet, but I'm definitely going to give that a shot!

Yeah, talking to their AI is annoying! I'm planning to call them tomorrow if it doesn't improve.
