My Phone Dropped in Water—Should I Be Worried?

I accidentally dropped my Samsung A34 5G phone into the sink while rinsing my mouth. I quickly got it out after about 3 seconds, removed the case, and dried everything, even shaking out the charging port since it was detecting fluid. Luckily, the notifications about the charging port have stopped, and it seems to be working normally now. I'm just wondering if there's anything else I should do to make sure it's totally fine, especially since the water was pretty gross with toothpaste residue and gunk. I plan to turn off my phone and not charge it overnight to play it safe. Any advice?

You should be in good shape! Your phone's IP67 rating means it can withstand being submerged in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. Since it's functioning normally now and the fluid notification is gone, you’re probably in the clear. Just to play it safe, blow into the charging port a bit and maybe use a paper towel to dry it out inside.

My phone isn't brand new, but it's not too old, either. I'm still going to avoid charging it tonight just to be safe.
