I'm considering the NH-P1 passive cooler for my R7 5700X, but I'm a bit concerned about how well it will perform. It's a pricey option, and I'm worried about running into throttling issues that might leave me unable to return it or sell it for a good price. My PC is outfitted with a large case and a pretty quiet Asus Prime 5060Ti, which maxes out at around 23 dB, so noise isn't a major concern for me. However, I do get bothered by cooler noise and vibrations since my PC is only about 30-40 cm away from me, and I can't really move it. Plus, I'm anxious that the GPU will just push hot air into the cooler. Has anyone had a similar setup, and can you share your experiences or any performance stats?

I run a 5800XT with a similar setup and use a Peerless 140 mm air cooler which cost me about $50. My system stays cool, idling under 30°C, and under load, like when playing Helldivers, it doesn’t exceed 60°C. Just thought I’d share what works for me in case it helps you decide!
I can't speak specifically for the NH-P1, but it might be worth your time to look into adjusting the fan curves in your BIOS. This could help manage cooling without needing to spend extra money on a new cooler.

I've tried varying the fan curves, but even with the best settings, they get pretty loud under sustained loads, like 40-50%. The fans just ramp up and become a nuisance during heat spikes.
