How Much Can My SEO-Only Traffic Grow Over Time?

I've created a utility website that's been live for just over a month without any promotion so I could monitor and fix initial issues. It offers free file handling tools and currently has no ads. I'm curious to know how much traffic can grow through SEO alone. In the first month, I saw around 350 unique visitors, and now I'm at over 400 unique users. The engagement and bounce rates are looking good, but I'm unsure what to expect from search engines. Is traffic growth typically slow at first, or is there a stage where it might pick up speed? Is depending solely on SEO a bad strategy? I would really appreciate insights from those who have more experience with this.

Check Google Search Console to see which search queries are driving clicks to your site. Sometimes, the slow traffic is just due to Google testing where to position your site. At the beginning, it is indeed slow, but if a few pages start performing well, traffic can increase quickly. Earning backlinks, especially from relevant blogs or tool roundups, can really help boost your visibility.

SEO is all about aligning your content with what users are searching for. It usually takes time for changes to reflect in your site’s visibility on platforms like Google. Expect a slow ramp-up initially, and don't expect drastic traffic spikes without any external marketing. SEO will definitely support your efforts in drawing organic traffic, but it's a gradual process.

Thanks for this insight! I guess it's time to plan a more solid marketing strategy.

Just to clarify, do you mean unique users that are logged in or total visitors?

Right now, I don’t have accounts set up, so it’s just unique visitors according to Google Analytics. Most of them are actually using the tools, which is encouraging!
