I've been having this frustrating issue with my iPhone 16 Pro where it won't charge unless I restart the phone. Initially, I thought my charging cable might be the problem, so I bought a new one, but the issue persists. It only starts charging after a restart! I've already tried cleaning the charging port and even reset all settings, but nothing seems to work. I also suspect this started happening after the iOS 26.2 update. Can anyone explain what's going on and what I should do?

Have you checked the battery percentage when you start charging? Sometimes, if it's below 50% and Optimized Battery Charging is on, it could cause issues. Also, try checking if Clean Energy Charging is enabled. Both might be affecting how your phone recognizes the charge.

It usually starts under 50%, and I’ve got both Optimized and Clean Energy Charging turned on. I even tried switching them off and plugged in the cable, but it still didn’t work.
