My Laptop Display Went Black – Any Fixes?

I was working on a project when I accidentally pressed a combination of keys (Shift + something), and now my laptop screen is completely black. I've tried resetting it, but nothing changed. The good news is that I can connect it to an external monitor, and that works fine, so I suspect it's not a graphics card issue. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to resolve it? Thanks!

What model laptop are you using? It could help narrow down some potential fixes.

It's a local brand called Casper. Not sure if you’ve heard of it.

First things first, check if your brightness keys are turned down too low. If that's not the issue, try pressing Win + Ctrl + Shift + B to reset the graphics driver. Some users found that helpful!

I tried those brightness keys and they didn't do anything for me.

That actually worked for me! I closed the laptop lid and reopened it, and it fixed the black screen issue. Must’ve been a problem with the lid sensor!
