What should I do if half of my phone screen is missing?

I have a Samsung A35 5G, and suddenly the bottom half of my screen is gone! I was using the camera app, and when I exited, it looked like my phone was in landscape mode even though it's vertical. Now I can't access anything because half of the screen is just missing. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Sometimes that's all it takes to fix a glitch. Just be careful because I realize you might need your password to restart it, but you can only see a few numbers at the moment.

It seems like this could be a software glitch, especially since it happened after you exited the camera. I suggest doing a forced restart instead of just locking the screen. If your screen comes back, make sure auto-rotate is on and check that you're not in split screen or any accessibility modes like magnification. If the screen is still black after rebooting, try taking a screenshot and viewing it on another device. If the screenshot looks normal, the issue might be with the hardware. If it still shows the problem, then you're likely dealing with a software issue, and a factory reset or a repair could be the solution.
