I've tried just about everything I can think of to fix my HDD that's constantly at 100% usage in Task Manager. I've run Check Disk, rebooted, closed all apps, and even performed a factory reset, but nothing has worked. I have both an SSD and an HDD as storage, but the HDD's behavior is making my gaming experience unbearable. One possible cause I suspect is that I had a seizure and accidentally knocked over my tower. Any suggestions on what I might do to resolve this issue?

First off, I hope you're feeling better after your seizure! It’s crucial to ensure the OS is on the SSD. If that’s the case, unplugging the HDD could not only help diagnose the problem but also improve performance. If you see a spike in speed, replacing the HDD should be your next step, but if the issue persists, it’s time to look into other possible causes.
If your HDD was spinning when it was knocked over, there's a good chance it's damaged. The best bet is to test it out: unplug the SATA cable from the HDD and see if the performance improves. If not, you might have to replace it, especially if it's causing issues with your games.
I’m not very tech-savvy. Can you explain how to move files? I believe my OS is on the HDD since my SSD reads 0% usage.
HDDs are notoriously slow, and if it’s constantly at 100%, it could also be a sign of failure. That's especially possible if it was spinning when your tower fell. You might want to consider the health of the disk.
It’s crazy—it’s never been this way before!

Thanks! I appreciate that. I really need help figuring out how to move files.
