I recently noticed a new feature in Windows 11 called 'Import Photos from Your Phone', and I'm not quite sure what it is or why it's there. I'm a little worried about privacy violations linked to Microsoft due to this pop-up, which I hadn't seen before. My goal is to safely remove this feature if needed, but I'd like to understand what it actually does first. If I ignore the pop-up, will it stop the transfer?

What's the big deal with privacy? It’s a feature meant to help people. Just because it’s there doesn’t mean you have to use it. Some folks just get overly suspicious over minor things.
It’s actually pretty handy! You can transfer photos from your iPhone without needing any Apple software, which is nice for those who edit their pictures on their PC.
No need to worry! This feature isn’t a violation. It’s there to help you transfer photos from your phone to your computer if you want to set it up. If you choose not to set it up, it won’t be active at all. So just leave it alone if you’re not interested.
Honestly, I just ignore all these features. My Windows machine isn’t something I trust with my personal data anymore. Since the big upgrade from Windows 7 to 10, I’ve been cautious about any features that involve syncing my data with the cloud.

But ignoring the pop-up does block the transfer, right?
