I recently upgraded my PC to Windows 11 and I'm trying to sign in using my old SSD with the same login details. However, the sign-in screen is prompting me for a QR code to use a passkey. Since my motherboard doesn't support Bluetooth, I purchased an Insignia Bluetooth 5.0 USB adapter. Unfortunately, the manual says I need to update the drivers, but I can't sign in to do that. My phone is stuck on 'connecting' when I try to pair it, and switching the dongle to different USB ports isn't helping. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can work around this issue?

It sounds super frustrating! If you're looking for workarounds, you might want to consider buying a cheap USB keyboard. It could help you navigate through the setup process more easily, and it costs about the same as the Bluetooth dongle.
You can set up Windows 11 without an internet connection, which skips the forced login. It's part of the Out of Box Experience (OOBE). Check out this guide on how to do it: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/4288908/how-do-i-set-up-windows-11-without-internet. Once you're in Windows, you can download the Bluetooth drivers without needing to sign in first.
If you're using the Pro version of Windows, you have some options. When setting up, choose "Work or School" and then select "Domain Join instead". This allows you to create a local account without needing a Microsoft account to sign in.
