Hey everyone! I put together my PC with an AM5 setup around a year ago, and I'm gradually upgrading to finally support a 9950x3d because I really need those extra cores for my work. Right now, my setup includes a 7800x3d CPU, XPG Lancer Blade 6000MHz DDR5 (2x32GB), an Asus ROG Strix RTX 3080 10GB GPU, an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 cooler, and a Be Quiet Pure Power 12 1000W Gold PSU. I'm planning to upgrade to an RTX 5080 from Gigabyte later this year and swap out my second monitor for a QD-OLED. According to PSU calculators, my current PSU should be sufficient even with the new GPU and CPU upgrades. However, I'm just looking for some advice to avoid any potential issues with power draw in the future. Should I replace my PSU now, or can I wait until I upgrade my CPU?

You've got plenty of power with that 1000W PSU! The 7800x3d is pretty efficient, and your other components shouldn't draw too much juice either. I wouldn't bother replacing it unless you run into problems. Just focus on your upgrades!
Honestly, 1000W is more than enough for your setup right now. You won't need to change it unless it gives out. You should save your money for more important upgrades!

Thanks! That's helpful to hear. But I'm curious, how do the noise levels compare between the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 and the Freezer III 360? My rig is sitting right next to my desk, and I prefer a quieter setup.
