I recently sold a working PC and did two resets before shipping it out. However, the buyer is now facing an issue where the NVMe drive isn't appearing during boot and he's been directed to the BIOS. What steps should I ask him to take to troubleshoot and potentially fix this problem?

There’s a setting in some BIOS called VDM that can cause drives to not be recognized. It's worth asking the buyer to look for that setting and see if toggling it makes a difference.
Did the buyer do anything with the PC before this issue happened? It might help to get more context. Did he mention changing any settings or adding hardware?
I had a similar situation a few years back. When I sold a PC, the customer's SSD ended up being unscrewed and not functioning at all. I'd suggest checking if the drive is properly mounted and secured; sometimes, it can get loose during transit.
