I'm currently using an RX6600 with a 5800x CPU and I'm considering an upgrade to a 9060XT, specifically the 16GB version. I'm wondering if the performance improvements would be significant enough to justify the upgrade, or if I should stick with what I have for now.

It's a big step up; I've done it before! Just be mindful of your games and resolution. When I upgraded, I found the gains weren't always as impressive as I hoped. If you've got a 1080p screen, you might not see a huge difference unless you're playing at very high settings. But if you can afford it, it wouldn't hurt to try it out.
I’m currently playing at 1080p, and while I could switch to 1440p, it’s not urgent for me. I'm seeing some performance dips in games like Kingdom Come Deliverance where I struggle to keep up even on high settings. That said, going to ultra drops my FPS to about 45, which can be frustrating. So I'm weighing whether this upgrade will truly resolve those issues.
I made the jump from an RX6600 to a 9060XT, and it was totally worth it! The extra VRAM made a huge difference, especially in games like Doom: Dark Ages where I couldn't maintain a smooth 1440p experience before. If you're mostly at 1080p, the RX6600 is decent, but for 1440p gaming, the upgrade is awesome!
Honestly, upgrading to the 9060XT is a no-brainer! It's about twice as fast and has double the VRAM. Plus, it supports FSR4 which can really enhance your gaming experience.
Definitely worth it coming from a 6600! I just upgraded to a Sapphire 9060XT 16GB from an Asus 6600XT and noticed about an 80% increase in performance. The Sapphire is also quieter and cooler, even if it uses a bit more power. Highly recommend it!
Your mind is gonna be blown! Seriously, this upgrade will have you experiencing games in a whole new light.
