My goal is to play most games at 120-140fps on medium settings. I'm also thinking about doing a complete rebuild on AM5 in the future but I'm hesitant due to current pricing and the potential for AM6 releasing soon. I'm open to suggestions beyond the RX 9060 XT, and I'd like to keep my budget around $500, give or take. Any advice?

Just a quick check, what's your PSU rating? You mentioned having a 600W power supply, which should be okay for either of those GPUs, but it's always good to verify.
AM6 could be more than two years away, so you have time. Upgrading from such an old GPU to any modern card will be a huge leap. Your performance should likely triple or quadruple!
