What GPU should I choose for a build under $500?

I'm in the process of upgrading my PC, and I'm currently using an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, a MAG B550 Tomahawk motherboard, and 16GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM. My current GPUs are kind of outdated—an Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 and a GeForce GT 710. I'm considering the RX 9060 XT because it looks like a solid option for the price. My goal is to play most games at 120-140fps on medium settings. I'm also thinking about doing a complete rebuild on AM5 in the future but I'm hesitant due to current pricing and the potential for AM6 releasing soon. I'm open to suggestions beyond the RX 9060 XT, and I'd like to keep my budget around $500, give or take. Any advice?

Consider the RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB. It's a great balance of performance and price. Plus, it should handle what you're looking for nicely, especially with those frame rates in mind.

Just a quick check, what's your PSU rating? You mentioned having a 600W power supply, which should be okay for either of those GPUs, but it's always good to verify.

AM6 could be more than two years away, so you have time. Upgrading from such an old GPU to any modern card will be a huge leap. Your performance should likely triple or quadruple!

The RX 9060 XT also sounds good for your needs. Both it and the RTX 5060 Ti should give you a significant performance boost over your current setup.
