I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to PC hardware, so I have a question about upgrading my monitor. Currently, I have a 60Hz monitor, but I'm considering switching to a 144Hz one. My budget PC has an Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 graphics card, an AMD Phenom X4 960T processor, and 6GB of RAM. I mainly use my PC for watching movies, browsing the web, and cloud gaming. Will my setup be able to support the switch to a 144Hz monitor?

I didn't realize cloud gaming could even stream at 144Hz! That’s interesting!
If your GTX 760 has a DisplayPort, you should be good to go for a 1080p 144Hz monitor. Just a note, it’s actually 144Hz, not 140!
But do all GTX 760 cards come with the same DisplayPort?
Since most movies don't hit even 60 fps, you should be fine for those. Your PC will handle web browsing and cloud gaming pretty well too! Just keep in mind that many cloud gaming services can run at 60Hz, so you might not see the full benefit at that refresh rate.
Yep, most films are usually shot at 24fps.

I mean, I play at 60Hz regularly and it's definitely capable.
