I've got a few frustrating issues with my new PC setup. My Dell E1910 monitor isn't displaying any signal from my new system, which features an i7 4th gen processor and an AMD Radeon RX 580. I've tried different cables and am currently using an HDMI to VGA adapter.
Also, my mouse and keyboard, which worked fine with other devices, aren't connecting properly to the new PC. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm worried I might be missing something crucial here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just wanted to update you that my mouse and keyboard are now showing power when plugged in, but the monitor is still a no-show. I switched cables, trying something different and then reverted to the original.
If you're using an HDMI to DVI adapter, that should help since both signals are digital. Ensure that your monitor is confirmed working with other devices. Additionally, check if your PC has a beeper attached. It can give you error codes if core components like the CPU, RAM, or GPU are faulty.
It sounds like your monitor needs a proper connection. Since it has VGA, and your graphics card has HDMI, you'll want to make sure to use an appropriate adapter. Also, considering your hardware is a bit older, it may have integrated graphics. Try connecting your monitor directly to the motherboard’s video output to see if that works. And make sure your monitor is not the issue by testing it with another device. For the mouse and keyboard, check if you can get into Device Manager to update drivers; if you're not able to do that just yet, see if you can confirm they work on another device first.
