After updating to Windows 11, my PC can't connect to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, even though my phones and TV connect just fine. My PC is in a different room, and the latency on the 5GHz band is really high, making online gaming frustrating. I'm wondering if this issue is specific to my device. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the network driver and restarting my PC, but nothing seems to work. I'm using a Realtek 8821AE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC to connect to the network.

First, check how your Wi-Fi device is set up. Right-click the network icon in your system tray, go to "Network and Internet settings," then select Wi-Fi. Next, find "Hardware Properties" to see if everything looks good. Look for the "Edit" button next to "More Hardware Options," click on "Configure," and then head to the "Advanced" tab. Check the "Wireless Mode" setting and make sure it's set to "Auto." That often helps!

It’s already set to Auto, and I can see the 2.4GHz network on the available list.
