What upgrades should I consider for my gaming PC with a £200-£400 budget?

I'm looking to upgrade my gaming PC within a budget of £200 to £400. Here are my current specs:

- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 4500 6-Core Processor
- **RAM:** 32GB DDR4 (2 sticks of 16GB)
- **Storage:** Samsung SSD 870 EVO 1TB
- **GPU:** AMD Radeon RX 6600
- **Motherboard:** B550M DS3H (AM4)

I mostly play games and am struggling to maintain fps over 100 at 1080p, especially in Deadlock during the late game and sometimes in Slime Rancher 2. I don't typically play many AAA titles. I initially thought about getting a Ryzen 9 5950x CPU but realized that its high core count doesn't necessarily mean better gaming performance. Now, I'm considering upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5000 series CPU but I'm unsure which one to pick. Any suggestions?

You might want to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5600 and sell your RX 6600 to get a used RTX 3080. You could find the 5600 for around £100 and the 3080 for about £300. Just make sure your power supply can handle the new GPU too!

Thanks for the tip! Do you think selling the RX 6600 on eBay with a buy-it-now option is the best way to do it, or should I consider an auction?
