Struggling to Download Genshin Impact on My New PC

Hey everyone! I recently bought a new computer specifically to get back into playing Genshin Impact, but I'm having a ton of trouble trying to get the game to download. Right after I set up my new device, I attempted to download the game, and although the launcher seems to work initially, I hit a wall when it comes time to install the game. The installation downloads at an incredibly slow rate, often taking an estimated 100 hours to complete and just crawling along at 0.01% increments. It frequently freezes and eventually crashes.

I had my boyfriend test it on his computer to rule out issues on my end, and he managed to download it without a hitch. We're on the same internet connection, and I checked the specs before buying the computer, so I thought it would handle the game just fine. I've searched for solutions online and tried various fixes but I'm still left empty-handed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your help!

Sounds like you may need to reconsider your setup. With an Intel Quad-Core N150, it's not the best choice for gaming in general, especially for a game like Genshin Impact. If you're serious about gaming, perhaps think about upgrading to a system with better specifications. In the meantime, try downloading it overnight or when you’re not using the PC to see if it helps.

Honestly, if your computer specs are good enough for Genshin, the installation speed seems odd. If the best your connection can offer is 15 Mbps, that might explain the lag. Have you checked if your device is a mini PC? If so, it could be a bottleneck with either the Wi-Fi drivers or the hardware limitations overall. I suggest reaching out to the manufacturer for any specific driver updates.

It sounds like you have a pretty decent setup. Just to be sure, can you confirm which brand and model of PC you got? Also, make sure that all your drivers are updated. Sometimes a new PC might not have the latest drivers automatically installed. When you say it's installing slowly, are you referring to the download speed itself or the installation once the download is complete? Without knowing those details, it's a bit tough to assist further.

With specs like that, you should have no trouble running Genshin Impact generally. That estimated download speed is alarming—are you on Wi-Fi? If so, just running a speed test can reveal if your connection is the problem here. If you find it's on the low side, try connecting directly via Ethernet. Sometimes it makes a world of difference! Also, ensure you're not facing any throttling from your ISP.

Hey, 15 Mbps is indeed pretty slow for downloads. Make sure your Wi-Fi drivers are up to date; it could really help. Also, sometimes, simply restarting your modem and router can improve speeds. If it’s a mini PC, they can struggle with heavier downloads, and it's worth considering an upgrade if you plan to game regularly.
