Hey everyone, I need some urgent advice regarding the RX 9070 GPU. I'm based in Italy, and it's currently available for €620, but I'm wondering if I should wait. I've been keeping an eye on its price, expecting it to drop post-Christmas, but it actually went up from around €575 before the holidays to €620 now. I'm unable to upgrade to the 9070 XT due to strict PSU limits.
I've also seen reports suggesting AMD might increase prices starting January 2026 due to factors like new DRAM contracts and an ongoing VRAM shortage. This could mean prices rise by €30-40 with taxes included. Given these rumors, I'm concerned that €620 might end up being a good deal compared to future pricing. Should I go ahead and buy it now, or is there a chance prices might dip a bit in early January from returns? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you're set on getting a GPU, I'd say go for it and buy now. Waiting for price drops can be tricky, especially with the current market reports hinting at increased prices soon.
Honestly, just buy it. Waiting for returns is a gamble, and you've got solid info suggesting prices will go up. I bought my RAM a while back when it was cheaper, and it's skyrocketed since then. If you're looking to complete your build, just do it!

I totally get where you're coming from! I'm also upgrading (currently got a 6650 XT), and while I don’t desperately need it, the gaming experience can be rough. Just wanted to ensure the RX 9070 is worth it—thanks for sharing your experience!
