My friend is looking to build a new PC and has already picked out most of the components. He has DDR4 RAM and a SATA SSD. Here's his current parts list: Ryzen 5 5600, MSI B550M WiFi motherboard, 16GB DDR4 RAM, a 1TB SATA SSD (he thinks NVMe is too expensive right now), Zotac 5050 graphics card (the RX 7600 is priced similarly but a bit high), a 750W Deepcool PSU with 80 Plus Bronze rating, and an Antec cabinet. We want to know if this setup is good for 1080p gaming and doing some 1080p video editing work.

This PC should handle 1080p gaming and video editing quite nicely! The parts you listed strike a good balance between performance and cost. If later on, you want quicker loading times or improved performance, consider upgrading to an NVMe SSD. Also, think about bumping the RAM up to 32GB if your friend plans to do more intense editing or multitasking.
I was leaning toward the RX 7600 too, but since it's older tech now and AMD has been shifting focus, going with the Zotac 5050 makes sense for now. It has all the latest features and comes with a solid 5-year warranty, which is a great plus!
