Hey there! I'm building my first PC and I have an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D coming soon. I've been searching for RAM for about a week now, looking at new and second-hand options. I'm considering getting a new Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2x16GB) kit with a speed of 6000MHz and a CL30 latency, which is priced the same as most of the second-hand stuff I've seen. However, I've heard some reports of issues with the Corsair RAM. Being a newbie, I'm wondering if I should aim for something like 5600MHz, which I've read is recommended by AMD, and what's an acceptable latency for that? Should I consider different brands instead? Thanks for your help!

You don’t need to go for the 6000MHz CL30 RAM if it’s not performing well in reviews. Opting for 5600MHz is perfectly fine and finding something with a CL32 or CL34 could save you some cash. Just ensure you find a good deal!
If you wait a bit longer, some brands like Asus may have higher-spec RAM available in the future, but it’s hard to predict when prices will actually drop. If you can get that Corsair kit at a reasonable price, snag it. Prices can fluctuate a lot!
That sounds like a bit of a gamble. I think it might be better to buy now if you find something solid.
Check this link for some local deals: [Leboncoin](https://www.leboncoin.fr/ad/accessoires_informatique/3117713415). Just make sure to verify the seller's reputation as I've seen some sketchy listings that turned out to be fake.
Good point! I’ve noticed the same issue with listings that looked questionable.

Thanks for the tip! I appreciate it!
