Has Anyone Successfully Set Up SailPoint for Identity Management?

I'm curious if anyone has successfully set up SailPoint for identity and access management. It sounds great in theory, but I'm feeling a bit lost right now. I think there should be more collaboration between our HR development team and IT, but management seems to keep them separate. It's like I'm trying to figure out a complex puzzle without the pieces in front of me. I could reach out to IT directly, but I'm unsure what specific issues might arise. We have a dev database, and I'm thinking I could 'fix' some accounts there and then inform them of any problems. Should we adapt SailPoint to work around the messy data we have, or is collaboration with HR essential for this process? Also, do we have the ability to manage any messy data we encounter by utilizing transformations?

Have you considered reaching out to other developers who have used SailPoint? The developer forums can be really helpful, and you might find some active users who can offer specific tips on getting started.

Setting up SailPoint can definitely be a challenge if you’re not getting clarity from HR. If they can't provide accurate job titles or roles, it’s pretty much setting yourself up for failure. You really need that input to make the system work effectively.
