I'm trying to do a clean reinstall of Windows 11 on my HP laptop using a bootable USB drive. The problem is that the only disk I can see during the installation process is labeled as Disk 0 Unallocated Space. I've attempted to convert it to GPT using command prompt, but nothing works, and I keep hitting this error: https://imgur.com/a/Ezay6De. Am I required to have the correct drivers on the same USB? I know this issue has been discussed before, but I'm really lost and could use some clear guidance. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You'll find that Disk 0 is your USB drive. Have you checked if your SSD or hard drive shows up when you boot into BIOS? That could give more insight into the issue.
You might want to adjust the storage mode in BIOS to AHCI. This is usually the simplest solution and you typically won’t need any extra drivers for it. It should improve performance compared to using the RAID controller.
I've seen that suggestion but can't figure out where to change the storage mode. Here’s a pic of my BIOS setup: https://imgur.com/a/ceMuA92.
What model of HP laptop are you using? That info is important because it might indicate if you need to extract the storage driver and place it on the installation USB, or if it can be handled differently. Let me know!
It's an HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eg0xx. If I need to extract the storage driver, will I have to select that during installation, or will it still only show Disk 0 Unallocated?

How do I check that? Here are some pictures of my BIOS setup if that helps: https://imgur.com/a/ceMuA92.
