Why can’t I find my Wi-Fi drivers during Windows 11 setup?

I'm having trouble during the Windows 11 setup. I downloaded the Wi-Fi drivers for my Asus Prime B550M-A WiFi II motherboard onto a USB stick, but when I try to install the drivers, they don't show up as an option. They work fine on my old PC running Windows 10. I also tried the method to bypass the internet requirement, so I'm a bit stuck on what to do next.

Check if the Wi-Fi adapter is showing up in the Device Manager—sometimes it appears under 'network adaptors' or as an 'unknown device' if it doesn't have the driver installed. If you can't see it, you might need to enable the device in the BIOS.

Have you tried connecting your PC directly to the router with an Ethernet cable? I usually set mine up close to the router for that reason. Just makes things easier! Unfortunately, this might not work for you if you're renting and don't have Ethernet set up where you are.

I had this issue too, and the solution was the article I found on Microsoft’s site about bypassing the internet requirement in Windows 11 setup. It helped me a lot! But watch out—after setting it up, I still had troubles installing my drivers. Maybe you'll hit a similar snag, so be prepared.

I faced a similar issue and ended up using a USB tether from my phone to get online. If you have a mobile plan, that's definitely an option! Otherwise, Ethernet is usually the best way to go.
