I'm looking to replace my dead 3080 10GB and need some suggestions for a new GPU that can handle 1440p ultrawide gaming, specifically for titles like Space Marines 2. My budget is under $400, and while I don't really care about ray tracing, I would prefer something with 16GB of VRAM that offers a bit of future-proofing. I'm okay with waiting for sales or considering refurbished/Open-box options with a good warranty if necessary. Here are some cards I've found at Microcenter:
- Zotac 5060 Ti 16GB, priced at $400, brand new
- Asrock 9060 XT 16GB, available for $370 new or $330 for an excellent open-box at Best Buy
- Powercolor RX 6800 XT 16GB, refurbished for $395 with a 2-year warranty
Thanks in advance for your help!

Agree with the others, the 5060 Ti is just a solid pick for your budget and requirements.
Honestly, I wouldn't skimp at this resolution. I have a 7800 XT and it hasn't wowed me. Try to save a bit more for at least a 9070 if you can. It’ll make a big difference in performance.
No doubt, the 5060 Ti is the way to go! Some folks are saying the 6800 XT is slightly better, but considering the power usage difference, I’d stick with the 5060. If you can stretch your budget a bit for a 9070 non-XT, you might get around 40% better performance, but it might be harder to find under $500.
I'd say the 5060 Ti is definitely your best option for that price. It should handle your gaming needs well without breaking the bank.
