First off, check your Chromebook's diagnostics to see its CPU and memory specs. If you find that the RAM is only 4GB, and you only have 1.6GB available, that's going to be a challenge. Chromebooks aren't typically designed for gaming, so even with an external hard drive, you might run into issues with performance.
