I'm struggling with the noise level of my gaming PC, especially while playing PUBG. My setup includes a powerful Intel i9 14990K and an Asus 4090 GPU, which I know run hot and can be noisy. I'm using a Fractal Design Focus 2 case with an Arctic Liquid Freezer Pro III cooler. I've tried adjusting fan curves, but I think I might have done it too conservatively, leading to excessive noise. I'm currently only using headphones due to the loudness and I'm considering switching to an AMD setup since my previous Ryzen build was much quieter.
I'm wondering if it would help to swap the fans on my radiator or even change cases, and what temperatures the i9 can handle without throttling. Also, would undervolting the CPU be beneficial?

One part of the solution is to get quieter fans and limit your FPS to just above your monitor's refresh rate. This reduces the workload on your CPU and GPU, which in turn lowers the heat and noise. It's a bit of a game changer!

Totally agree, capping your FPS is a must! And yeah, adjusting the fan curves will help since your components won't be working as hard.
