I have a gaming rig with an RTX 3070, an i5 12400f CPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 512GB SSD. When I play games like CS:GO, Valorant, or Apex Legends, I generally only get around 130 to 150 FPS, while others with the same specs seem to be getting 300 to 400 FPS. It's really frustrating! Is there anything I can tweak or check to improve my performance?

To really compare FPS, you need to ensure both systems are running the same game, on the same resolution and settings. Otherwise, it’s hard to pinpoint what’s causing the difference. There could be background processes or driver issues affecting your performance as well.
It sounds like it could be a settings issue. Even with similar specs, different game settings can affect FPS. Also, those games can be CPU-bound at high refresh rates, so keep that in mind. But honestly, 100+ FPS is quite good, especially if you're not professionally ranked. Try testing some settings or just enjoy the game!
I’m trying to reach Immortal in Valorant, so the lower FPS really feels like a handicap!
With your setup, you should definitely be hitting 300+ FPS in those games. Make sure to check if your RAM has one stick or two and if XMP is enabled in your BIOS. Also, monitor the temperatures of your CPU and GPU; if they're too high, you could be experiencing thermal throttling. Lastly, ensure your SSD isn’t filling up as that can affect performance too.
My GPU usually runs between 65 to 70 degrees, and my CPU utilization is around 40 to 60% during games. Is that normal? My RAM is just in the slot next to the GPU, so I'm not sure if I have one or two sticks. Also, XMP settings? Not sure about that.
One possible culprit could be your RAM speed. Check your BIOS for RAM speed settings, and consider anything from room temperature to power supply issues as well. These factors can subtly affect performance over time.

Yeah, I’m following the same setup and settings as them. Just can’t figure out what’s off.
