I recently switched to Linux Mint 22.2 Cinnamon on my HP Pavilion Aero 13.3 laptop and am trying to manage my iPod using iTunes. I've already installed Wine and the latest version compatible with my setup. When I connect my iPod, it's recognized by the laptop, but iTunes in Wine isn't detecting it at all. Is there a way to make iTunes recognize my iPod, and does Wine require any additional configurations for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't use iTunes for my iPod on Linux; I prefer to just copy and paste my music using the file manager. You might also want to install the MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) tools if you haven’t already, especially if you're using XFCE—I've had success with that approach.
If your iPod shows up as a storage device, you can try assigning a drive letter via Wine's configurator. Just type 'winecfg' in the terminal and check the settings for your iPod drive. It might help iTunes identify it correctly!

I checked and it already has a drive letter assigned. Do I need to install any special iPod compatibility software like on Windows?
