I'm putting together my first PC and wanted to get some input on my parts list. Here's what I'm looking at:
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Windforce 16GB GDDR7
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3D
- CPU Cooler: Liquid Freezer III Pro 360mm All in One Liquid CPU Cooling Kit-Black
- Case: Lancool III RGB Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower Computer Case-Black
- Power Supply: MAG A850GL PCIE5 850 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX
- Motherboard: B650-E TUF GAMING WIFI AMD AM5 ATX
- RAM: Flare X5 Series 32GB DDR5-6000 CL36
- Storage: 990 PRO 2TB Samsung V
Is this a solid build for gaming? Any suggestions or changes I should consider?

If you're gaming at 1440p, you might want to think about the 7800x3D since it's cheaper and performs well. Also, consider a different case; the Lancool III is pretty large—check out the Corsair 4000D, it's a great option. For the motherboard, upgrading to a B650E or B850 would give you access to PCIe 5.0, which is an advantage for future upgrades. Lastly, MSI power supplies aren't the best—look at Corsair, NZXT, or Bequiet.
Honestly, this build is solid! I’ve seen people having great experiences with the Liquid Freezer III Pro, but keep in mind it might be overkill for the 9800X3D. Also, I recommend checking out some of the PSU options like Corsair or BeQuiet, especially if you’re considering aesthetics since you can’t see the PSU if you go for a case without a glass panel.
While NVIDIA is popular, you might want to consider an AMD GPU for a change! It'll give you a different experience in the gaming landscape. But hey, if you’re happy with your choice, go for it. Just ensure all parts are compatible, and you’ll have a blast!
Congrats on your build! It's looking good. Just make sure all the components fit together properly, and double-check compatibility. You definitely want to ensure everything will play nice together before you start building.
