Why does my Ryzen 9600X CPU hit 95°C on boot but cools down afterwards?

I've got a Ryzen 9600X CPU paired with an AIO cooler. Everything was running fine until a few weeks ago when my computer sometimes boots up at a scorching 95°C. The temperature only drops after I let it sit for a few minutes, power it down, and then restart. I'm puzzled as to why it spikes like this on boot but returns to normal afterward.

Also, it might not hurt to double-check your AIO cooler brand and model. Some cheap coolers tend to have issues over time. If it's one of those, it might just be on its way out. What AIO cooler are you using?

First off, make sure you've got a good amount of thermal paste applied and that your cooler is securely fastened. Sometimes, if the cooler isn’t seated properly, it can lead to overheating right after booting up. Have you checked if your CPU cooler's settings need adjusting?

I noticed that the fans go wild during those heat spikes. It could be that your cooling solution is acting up, especially if your PC is kept in a colder basement and then heats up quickly. It might need some time to recover, but it’s strange that it only normalizes after a reboot. Have you considered that something might have changed recently? Like driver updates or tweaks in BIOS?
