Hey everyone, I've been a bit out of the loop with PC building recently due to rising costs, but I really need to upgrade my aging GTX 1070 as it's been freezing on me. I'm after a graphics card that can eliminate the bottleneck in my setup without breaking the bank and ideally something that's futureproof. Here's what I'm working with:
- **Processor**: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
- **Motherboard**: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II
- **RAM**: 32 GB 3600 MHz
- **Current Graphics Card**: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (8 GB)
I've done some research and narrowed it down to two options that I can find locally:
1. XFX Speedster MERC 310 Radeon RX 7900 XT, 20GB GDDR6
2. Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 9070 XT, 16GB GDDR6
I'd really appreciate any recommendations or confirmation that these would be good choices for my rig. I'm also open to considering RTX cards. Thanks!

I’d recommend going with the 9070 XT if you’re leaning towards AMD. The 7900 XT might not perform as well, and it won't get any new FSR features. Just a heads up!
Both the 9070 and 9070 XT are solid picks, but if you want DLSS and CUDA support, check out the 5070 Ti if it's within your budget. With your 5800X3D, that CPU can really handle the high-end GPUs without any issues. Just curious, are you gaming at higher than 1080p resolutions?
Definitely check out the 9070 XT or even the 9070 if you find it significantly cheaper (like $100 or more difference). The performance bump between them is nice, but the power consumption can be quite a bit higher on the XT, so just weigh that in your decision.

Thanks for the input! I was considering AMD mainly because they seem cheaper, but I'm open to other options.
