I've noticed a sharp drop in my PC's performance since I got it. Games that used to run smoothly at 120fps now struggle to reach 40fps. According to Task Manager, I'm using 10.5GB of my 16GB RAM constantly, even when I'm not running any applications. What can I do to reduce my memory usage for better gaming performance?

You could try reinstalling Windows if the problem persists. Sometimes, it's just a matter of needing a fresh start. Also, keep in mind that modern operating systems utilize RAM for caching, which can give the impression that it's running high when a lot of background processes are at play.
If you want a quick win, I recommend disabling unnecessary startup programs. Many apps automatically start when your computer boots up, and over time, they can consume a lot of memory. You might also want to check the Performance tab in Task Manager to see exactly what's using your RAM.
It sounds like you're experiencing some unnecessary memory usage. First, ensure you close any programs or tasks that you're not using. Modern web browsers can take up a surprising amount of RAM, so check if you have multiple tabs or extensions running.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll consider that as an option if other solutions don't improve things.
