I'm considering two gaming PC builds and I'm wondering how well they would handle 1440p gaming with max settings. The first one includes an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X processor running at 4.5GHz, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce 5060 Ti with 16GB of GDDR7 memory, 32GB of DDR5-6000 RAM, and a 1TB solid-state drive. The second option features an Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF processor running at 3.3GHz, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti (also with 16GB of GDDR7), 32GB of DDR5-6000 RAM, and a 2TB Samsung solid-state drive. There's a $500 price difference between the two setups. I'm looking for something that's somewhat future-proof for about three years, and I also use it for work. Any thoughts?

Both setups are pretty solid for 1440p, but the 5070 Ti will definitely give you better performance, especially at max settings. If you're looking to maintain higher frame rates and manage future games better, the extra $500 could be worth it.

Do you think the upgrade is worth it in terms of day-to-day use or resale value? Like will I notice a big difference?
