I'm new to Linux and I'm setting up an AM5 system with integrated graphics. I'd love some recommendations for beginner-friendly, lightweight Linux distributions that will allow me to make the most out of my hardware. Here are my specs:
- Memory: Kingston Fury Beast, 16GB (2x8GB), DDR5, 6000MHz, C36
- Motherboard: MSI Pro A620M-E, AMD AM5
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 8600G
- SSD: Rise Mode Gamer M.2 Z Series Pro 256GB M.2, NVMe, Gen3, Read 3200MB/s, Write 1300MB/s

With your specs, you can run just about any popular Linux distribution smoothly! I recommend Linux Mint as a solid choice for beginners; it’s well-supported and easy to navigate. Plus, it's stable and secure, making it user-friendly for newcomers.

Honestly, any distro would work fine with your setup. Just keep in mind that you won't get top-tier gaming performance without a dedicated GPU. But for everyday use, you'll be good to go with something like Ubuntu or ZorinOS.

Your build is awesome for running any Linux distro! Community values can differ a lot between them, so think about what’s important to you. I really like Fedora for its balance of good software and a strong community focused on up-to-date tech.

You shouldn’t worry about performance issues. For beginners, I'd suggest sticking to user-friendly distributions like Linux Mint, ZorinOS, or Ubuntu. Fedora is also a great option if you're feeling adventurous, and each has multiple desktop environments to choose from. You can even try booting into installers to see which one you like best!

For a lightweight experience, distro choices won’t matter much with your hardware. Just avoid Arch and its derivatives as a newbie. I’d recommend Fedora or Debian as they have great documentation and communities for support, along with being well-maintained.
