I recently updated my BIOS and now my PC fans keep revving up and then slowing down every few seconds, even when the computer is idle and running at low temperatures. I'm not sure how to fix this issue. Can anyone help me out?

That sounds like good advice! If you still need help, make sure to share a screenshot of your BIOS settings so we can assist you with configuring the fan curves properly.

You should check the fan curves in your BIOS settings. It's important to set them up so that fan speeds are stable across different temperature ranges rather than having them fluctuate. Often, the default setting ramps fan speed with temperature changes, which can lead to that annoying revving sound. Aim for fans to run quietly at low speeds when the temperature is below 44°C, then have them ramp up gently during gaming loads between 45-70°C, and finally boost to maximum speed only when temperatures exceed 70°C. This way, you'll have clear steps instead of a continuous ramp-up. Does that make sense?
