I've been experiencing a strange issue while playing Fortnite. I usually cap my FPS at 240, but it's pretty unstable, even when I try capping it at 60. However, whenever I tab out and can see Fortnite in the background, my FPS becomes stable at 240. It doesn't seem to be a rendering issue where Fortnite is doing less work. I've already tried using borderless gaming, but that didn't help. Here are my specs:
- Ryzen 3 3200G overclocked to 4.0GHz
- GTX 1650 with 4GB of VRAM
- 16GB of DDR4 RAM (2 sticks, overclocked to 3200MHz)
- A320MH Biostar motherboard
- Windows 11

Have you tried turning on Vsync while in fullscreen mode? It might help stabilize your FPS while you're playing!
You might want to check your monitor's make and model to see if there are any specific settings or updates that could help. Sometimes, certain monitors have settings that can affect performance. What kind of monitor are you using?
It could be a driver issue as well. Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date, and try rolling back to an earlier version to see if that changes anything. Sometimes newer drivers can cause more problems than they solve.
