Hey everyone! I purchased a pre-built PC back in May 2020, and it originally came with a Corsair CV650 power supply. My setup included an RTX 2060 and a Ryzen 7 2700X. Recently, I upgraded to an RTX 3070 and a Ryzen 7 5700X, which made a noticeable difference in performance. However, when both the CPU and GPU are pushed to their limit, my system crashes, and all the screens go black. This happens especially when playing Half Life Alyx and S&box, and I have to restart it manually. I've heard that this issue might stem from "transient spikes," suggesting my current PSU isn't quite up to the task. I'm considering upgrading to a 750W PSU; would the Corsair CX750 be a solid choice, or could I still encounter the same problems? It's currently the most affordable reputable option for me, although I'd ideally want a Gold-rated unit, which tends to be pricier. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, both the CV and CX series aren't exactly the best when it comes to reliability. For what you're paying, you might want to check out the Montech Century II units instead—they've gotten some good reviews!

Thanks for the suggestion! I didn't know about Montech before, but I recently got a Montech case and was pretty impressed. Sounds like a good option!
