Need Advice on My First Desktop PC Build for Gaming

I'm transitioning from gaming laptops to building my own desktop PC. I want to create a high-performance AMD rig with a budget of around $2000. I already have a 2TB storage drive, but I'd appreciate feedback on the parts I've chosen so far. The CPU I picked might be more powerful than I need, but I'm aiming to future-proof my setup. I'll be gaming at 1440p on my current 240Hz OLED monitor. Any suggestions or insights would be really helpful! Here's my parts list: [link]

Everything about your build looks solid! You've got a great power supply that offers plenty of room for upgrades. Regarding the motherboard, it's a matter of personal preference, but I'd recommend considering an X870 chipset instead of the B850 for better compatibility with the 9800x3d. You could also look into ASRock X870 boards, which might save you some money while providing excellent features. You've clearly done your homework—great job! Enjoy the building process!

Thanks for the insight! I'm still a bit unsure about the motherboard choice. Can you explain what makes the X870 chipset better suited for the 9800x3d?
